Picture B creates an unsafe scenario: If the gold car wants to overtake, the silver car might turn at that point and an accident will occur. Exception: This turn is common on country roads when turning left: If no Spanish turn exist on a country road and there are cars behind you , its better to drive towards the right of the lane first, slow down safely by looking in the mirror. Then allow all the cars to pass you on the left hand side and then when its safe to do so make the turn to the left (Note that in this scenario you always look in the mirror to ensure the road is clear
