Obligation to give way

• You have to give way to intersecting traffic
• Show that you will give way to them by slowing down in good time before the intersection
• At this sign you do not have to stop completely, but if there are cars on the intersecting road you have to stop

Give way sign with out give way road markings

Some times there will be no road markings indicating where to stop if required. Its best to stop as close to the intersecting road to be able to have a good view of oncomming traffic.

If there is an aditional pannel under the give way sign it will indicate that the sign is valid only in a certain situation or that additional steps must be taken

There's a junction in 200 meters, where you have an obligation to stop and give way for intersecting traffic
