Overview
Its good to get driving lessons from a driving license school. To reduce cost you can learn how to drive privately for the most part but ensure you take a few lessons at a driving school to cover areas that might have been forgotten by your parents. A driving school will teach you all the finer details of how to approach a roundabout, economical driving, how to enter and exit a freeway safely, how to drive in correctly in a residential area, etc.
Learning incorrectly from the start
When you learn to drive with your parents you may pickup incorrect driving behavior such as not fully stopping at a stop street, Not gearing down when approaching a roundabout, etc Its is important to get the basic essentials right. This will make you a safe driver and give the Practical test examiner confidence in your abilities. Important to add theory with your practical learning as both is required to be a safe and competent driver
Driving school
Its good to contact a driving school that is located close to where you plan on taking the driving license practical test. The reason for this is that you can learn and get familiar with the area where your actual test will take place. The driving instructor will also drive the same route that the practical test examiner will take you on. Booking lessons at a driving school can sometimes be difficult as they are almost always fully booked. So best to book well in advance. Book all your lessons and then you can cancel them if you don't need them anymore
